On the third Podcast from the Sauce Boss, Bill (Sauce Boss) Wharton takes his listeners on a journey through the streets of Washington DC. Beginning with the street sound percussionist jamming on the sidewalk in Chinatown, and ending up cooking his world famous Gumbo at the largest homeless shelter in the country, Wharton cooks up the funk and blues and “plays? the gumbo into existence. He’s been doing it for almost seventeen years, playing festivals and clubs, feeding more than 135,000 people for free! At the end of the show, everybody eats. It’s a soul shouting picnic of rock and roll brotherhood. There is also a side trip to Buffalo, New York for an interview with bluesman, Eddie Shaw.
